Welcome to the Christian Rock & Metal Music Reviews section of Guitar Jams! My hope is that this section of the site will provide two services: 1) a platform for Christian rock and metal artists to showcase their music, and receive quality reviews of their work, and 2) a place for Christian Rock and Metal Music fans to discover and learn about some awesome Christian rock and Metal music!

Spot on... warm, heavy, crisp, clear... very nice and enjoyable to listen to... the mix is wonderful... two thumbs up!

THE MUSICIAN'S PERSPECITVE: RATING 9/10
Marvelous stuff. God-given talent is on display all over the place on this album. The song writing and music arrangements on this thing are what evoked my "Iron Maiden" comparrisons... Theocracy's songs just have that same "take me on a journey" feel--with lots of extened dual guitar work that just kind of takes you on an emotial, trance-like journey as you listne to the whole album... just wonderful stuff! The guitar work is soulful and technically spot on, the vocals as I stated above are just beautiful and the drum work is fantastic---shaw plays with the fervor of Nicko McBrain...the precision of Neal Pert and he pounds out grooves that at times remind me of Robert Sweet. What more can I say--great band, great album... go get it today!

Here's a description of Theocracy's music from their official website says it this way, "The music? Epic, melodic Power Metal with occasional progressive flourishes. Long songs, longer songs, short songs, fast songs, slow songs, midtempo songs, ballads...epic choirs, soaring vocals, pounding drums, crunchtastic guitars, and most importantly, melodies that get stuck in your head."

That's pretty spot on---In my words, this album, Mirror of Souls, is an explosian of heavy, beautifully ochestrated riffs, melodies and pounding rhythms... just think Iron Maiden with Angelic vocals meets modern thrash. This album is packed with enough killer lead guitar work to satisfy the most die-hard old-school metal head... enough pouding aggressive fast drums and drop D style heavy rhythms to satisfy the contemporary thrash fan... Christ-honoring lyrics that will bless your faith and edify your spirit and vocal work that rivals the likes of Steve Perry and Michael Sweet... sound pretty awesome? It is.

Here's the ultimate complient---While I listen to LOT of music--I don't purchase much... I'm just really picky about what I add to my CD rack---but I would buy this one. EVERY SONG is great... no skippers here!
