Line 6 Spider lll I picked this amp up in Nov. of 07. This amp is a modeler... very cool... it's got tons of classic sounds built into it--from warm cleans--to hot blues tones... to monster metal or even insane shred tones... just killer! Here's a little sample of the factory description: The Line 6 Spider III 75 makes it easy to get the sound of some of today’s hottest bands and guitarists. The Spider III series offers perfectly dialed-in sounds with 250 incredible artist presets, plus another 150 presets based on the greatest rock guitar songs of all time! No tone is off limits thanks to 12 custom amp models that go everywhere from spanky clean to insane grind. With Line 6's revolutionary Smart Control FX (7 different effect types, 3 simultaneous) including, Phaser, Chorus/Flanger, Tremolo, Sweep Echo, Tape Echo, and Reverb, you’ll always have the right tone. Plus, with the award-winning POD® cab modeling Headphone/Direct out, you can take your sound from the practice room to the studio. Features also include a footswitch jack that’s compatible with the FBV2™, FBV Express™, and FBV Shortboard™ foot controllers, a CD/MP3 input jack, and a built-in tuner. My fRaNkEn-tEle! My 73 Tele... or as it was deemed by our local Guitar Center, "THE FRAKENTELE" is (or at least it was) a 1973, American made, Fender Telecaster Custom Deluxe... it was really pretty when I bought it back in 82--mint stock condition! since then she's been painted all kinds of different colors... had tons of different pick-ups (I've settled on an EMG H4 humbucker in the bridge and a stock Ibanez humbucker in the neck position)... she's got a chandler, 22 fret neck and a Khaler trem. I'm certain that I've destroyed her resale value with all the mods I've made---But I wouldn't trade her for the world! My Ibanez GiO Looks pretty nice eh? You know what's special about this guitar? Two things: 1) I got it for my 40th B-day, and 2) what I paid for it... are you ready? $200... brand new. Yep. Here's the deal, I had been in the Guiar Center for about 30 minutes, playing all these really pricy ($800 - $1,500) guitars... then I cam across this one... I didn't look at the price, i just picked it up and plug into an amp... and I LOVED IT... it felt and played better (to me) than all the other guitars I'd be checking out... then I looked at the price... can you say F-R-E-A-K-Y? I bought it that day--and I'm glad I did! Generally speaking--what's "cheap" about cheap guitars is the electronics--so I popped a Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker in the bridge postion and Whala--instant shredmeister axe! It makes a couple of appearances on SHREDDED SWEET and it will be used regularly thereafter... a great axe! My Fender Acoustic Guitar My Fender Acoustic was a gift to myself. When I finally graduated from Johnson Bible College in 1995 (after 6 full--time years--NEVER TRANSFER!). I started my ministry off as a Youth Pastor at the First Church of Christ in Altoona, PA. With some of my first paychecks I saved enought to puchase this guitar! I really love it. I have no idea what "model" it is... all I know is that It's got a great tone, nice craftsmanship... and the electronics are nice--solid and quiet... love it. My Applause "beater" Acoustic Guitar My Applause "beater" Acoustic... what can I say--this guitar is like a faithful old dog. She's been with me almost as long as my Tele has been. I bought her back in Anderson, IN, in 1984. This is the guitar I play the most... I noodle areound with it constantly... sitting around the house--almost EVERY song I've written was either composed, or at least arranged on this guitar! Not worth a dime on the market, but priceless to me. Behringer Vamp2 My Behringer Vamp2 is awesome! It has like 50 classic amp model settings! All the classic Fender, Marshall, Mesa Boogie, etc. amps in one KILLER little unit! AMPEG SVT 4 PRO I don't own this awesome piece of gear, but my friend Richard Lynch of SAINT does... and he graciously ran all my bass lines on SHREDOMATIC through it! And of course, all the bass lines he lays on Heavenly Shred will be processed through this killer piece of equipment! The best electric guitar strings on the planet! I've used these strings, almost exclusively, since 1982. They're great! Great tone, long life, not too "heavy" not "too light" ... just right! Cakewalk Guitar Tracks I started out with Guitar Tracks 2. I actually produced my first 6 projects exclusively with GT2! It was great, but I finally came to the place that I needed a little more... so I upgraded to Guitar Tracks Pro3. I actually recorded all of RESHREDDED and SHREDDED SWEET using GT2, but I mastered them in GT PRO3.g Here's what Cakewalk says about GT PRO3: "32-track digital recorder and virtual mixing console; IK Multimedia's Amplitube LE—a special edition of the leading guitar amp plug-in; high-quality effects; powerful looping tools with full ACID™-loop support; a chromatic-tuner; a metronome; and a complete library of backing tracks. With Guitar Tracks Pro 3 you get the best of both worlds—pro quality production tools and the speed and ease of your old portable multi-track. So start your own revolution with Guitar Tracks Pro 3 and set your music free." DRUM LOOPS Beta Monkey's "Double Bass Mania"... Smart Loops... Dragg n Drop Drummer... Despite its small size, the B2030A can achieve a peak output level in excess of 113dB SPL. Powered by separate 75W and 35W amplifiers with an active crossover, these monitors provide ultralinear frequency response from 50Hz-21kHz. A long-throw 6.75" woofer with a special polypropylene diaphragm delivers smooth, deep bass, while an extremely high-resolution HF driver reproduces highs that are crystal clear and full of detail. The unique Behringer wave guide and the extremely low-distortion crossover network produce an absolutely linear phase response with excellent sound dispersion and stereo imaging. The B2030A is equipped with servo-balanced inputs on XLR and 1 4" TRS connectors to handle a variety of audio sources. Thanks to its compact size and magnetic shielding, the TRUTH B2130A can be placed near video monitors, computer displays, or digital audio workstations. Shure SM 58 I actually purchased this mic just in time to do the vocals on SHREDOMATIC... prior
to that I borrowed SM 58s and used an old EV (I mean like 1950s or 60s old!). Kurzweil PC 88 I love this Keyboard! It's an older one and most people would never want to own it, because it has some tuning issues... (loooooooooong story)... but for recording it's fantastic! It's got some wonderful piano, strings and bass guitar sounds! I use it quite a bit! |
